A true classic like John Wayne

Leather products have been around for a long time — well before John Wayne. In the past, marking the leather was typically done by pressure stamping. The unfortunate part of this method was that a physical stamp had to be produced, so hot stamping is good for volume production.

With technology on new laser machines, we can do engrave on one piece of leather now. Leather is not man made, results may be different from piece to piece. The lighter-color leathers typically laser the best. The tanned or stained leather will also produce a decent contrast and appearance. Dark-stained leathers such as black leathers will certainly work, but the appearance of the engraved graphics is very muted. Then we can use color filling to do it.

Barking up the right tree

You’ve met them. You might even have one. Whether you have a pet or not, you know those people we’re talking about: the pet owners who refer to themselves as pet parents and call their animals their children. There are even “I love my grandpuppy” bumper stickers for that notquite-a-grandmother who is on her way to check on her daughter’s dog.

Dog tag is a great way to show dog and owner’s personality.

…And Do You Know The Tax Benefits Of Recognition?

Section 274(j) of the Internal Revenue Code, enacted by the Tax Reform Act of 1986, provides, in general, that an employer may deduct the cost of employee achievement awards given to the same employee up to $400.00 in any year. If the incentive awards are employee achievement awards made under one or more established written plans or programs of the employer, the $400 deduction limitation is increased to $1,600.00 per employee.

Why do people need recognition? Part I

Recognition boosts people’s esteem and performance. This is a concept that is as old as Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, which shows that beyond meeting basic safety and belonging needs, all people have self-esteem and self-actualization needs, and need to feel important, satisfied and inspired to perform to the fullest potential.
