The anatomy of a rush order

What happens when a rush order comes in?

!) We need to check inventory and schedules. Some products may require special components that are not ordinarily in stock.

2) We will rearrange schedules and tentatively slot production.

3) If order is placed with proof requirement, we need to send out proof within 24 hours. Then we are waiting for an approval. As each precious hour pass without an approval, we have to made decisions on rescheduling.

4) when the art is approved, we commit to the schedule – with no margin for error.

This is a precarious position we are in to win business.
