Sandcarve or sandblast a glass panel or marble that can be mounted off the plaque’s surface using complementary standoffs. Many times, to be able to see personalized info, color filling is recommended.

Rotary engrave a metal plate, preferably one that engraves a contrasting color, and mount it to the plaque with screws or double-sided tape. Most people use brass or aluminum with oxidization.

Print onto any suitable substrate, then mount the piece to the plaque. Or print directly onto UV-printable wood substrates to create a directly printed plaque. It’s very colorful and vivid. Can even have 3D look.
